Lovely Throwback Thursday: Candy we knew and loved

This time of year, when all eyes and tummies are anticipating buckets full of candy, we thought we would just have a little old-school fun today, recognizing some of our favorite, classic, tasty-treats!

 

1. Fun Dip (causing sneezing fits since 1952… didn’t you inevitably get some up your nose? I did!)

2. Fruit Roll Ups (Is it fruit? Is it candy? Is it fruity candy? Since 1980…)



3. Air Heads (making kids dumber since 1986…)

4. PEZ (Making “Candy Collecting” a hobby since 1957…)




3. Astro Pops (Pulling out tooth fillings since 1963…)





4. Andes Candies (no, they are not made at the Olive Garden, they’ve been around since 1950…)

7. Pop Rocks (Exploding in our mouths since 1975…)





8. Nerds (were nerdy before nerdy was cool! since 1983…)





9. Bit- O- Honey (What is this candy, anyway??? since 1924…)





10. 100 Grand (tasting like 100,000 bucks, since 1966…)

12. Necco Wafers (people have been throwing away the black licorice ones since 1847…)

17. Old Fashioned Stick Candy (Your Grannie’s Candy, since 1837… still available at Cracker Barrel’s)

18. Candy Cigarettes (now banned in several states!, and renamed Candy STICKS) – keeping it real classy, they used to make them to look like real cigarette brands!
