Pinterest: Nailed it or Failed it? Honey Brown Sugar Scrub

I am in LOVE with this Honey Brown Sugar Scrub!

It smells delicious, is SUPER easy to make, and it really does leave your skin feeling soft and moisturized! I have really sensitive skin that’s prone to breaking out, and I’ve even been using this on my face every other day in place of my usual face wash. It has definitely helped exfoliate and soften my skin!

What you’ll need to make 1 pint of this wonderful scrub:

  • 2 cups brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (You can use any other plant-based oils in place of the olive oil, such as coconut oil, sunflower oil, or almond oil, to name a few.)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • A container (mason jars work really well, and are super cute!)

The brown sugar in this recipe is the exfoliant. The olive oil is for the moisturizer. Honey is a natural antibacterial (as well as another moisturizer), and vanilla is for the added scent.

All you have to do is mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, scoop out your scrub into your containers, and voila! You are done!

Kayte, a LOVELY girl, adding honey into the mix!

Doesn’t this look appetizing?

We made enough of this recipe for 5 pints (we had bought a case of 12 half-pint mason jars, and we were able to fill up 10 jars completely, with a little left over). All of the ingredients + the cute half pint mason jars came out to $45, which comes out to $5 a jar. Not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive, either!

Aren’t these girls just the cutest?

Try this fun Pinterest project out, and I’m sure that you will NAIL IT like we did!

Until next time,
